A Practical way to move from Separate Self, to Being the Whole
with Connirae Andreas
6.30pm-8pm UK time
Our individual capacities to contribute grow exponentially as we experience ourselves not as a separate self, but as an undivided consciousness.
But how do we do that?
We will explore together a kind and gentle practice that helps us utilize our present-moment experience as a doorway to what we could call “Awakening.”
This will be an interactive presentation, including guided experience and opportunity to share your experience and hear from others as we go along.
We will explore how this simple practice offers an easy way to release limiting beliefs, transform emotional reactivity and other life issues, and experience ourselves as “the Whole.”
People usually discover that this practice produces expanded creativity, wisdom, & problem-solving capability, easy humor, and joy in living.
This kind of work is especially powerful when done in collaborative groups, such as Generative Citizen.
Connirae developed this method through modelling key spiritual teachings about awakening and dissolving the ego.
Connirae Andreas has been an innovative leader in the field of personal development and NLP for over 4 decades. Connirae and Steve Andreas were early developers of NLP and wrote down and made explicit many of the early processes of NLP, helping to bring NLP into the mainstream. She is best known for her groundbreaking work developing Core Transformation, a method through which our limitations become the doorway to a felt experience many describe as our spiritual core. Connirae’s new work, the Wholeness Work, offers a precise way to experience “dissolving the ego” in a way that can resolve life issues. Her work is strongly influenced by a transformative personal experience with Dr. Erickson in 1979.
This September, Connirae will be teaching Wholeness Work in person, in Germany. Click here for the info if you want to consider joining the extended program.

Wednesday 20th September 2023 Becoming a Generative Citizen Free Introductory Workshop with Judith Lowe
6.30pm-8.30pm London time, online
We will focus on a core skill set that supports the kind of inner development and Mindshift that could help us to create new ways of being, thinking and relating in the world.
Judith Lowe is an international trainer in Systemic NLP and is involved in a long-term project (with Judith DeLozier) to bring the practical tools of NLP to people working with social change issues in their communities. She is a faculty member at NLPU (Robert Dilts’ NLP institute) and integrates the principles and practices from ‘Generative Change’ into all her trainings.
Starting Wednesday 4th October 2023 Generative Citizen: Level 1 Five Core Practices for skilful living in challenging times with Judith Lowe
7 Wednesdays 4th October – 15th November 6.30pm-8.30pm London time, online
This seven-week evening course offers a unique opportunity to develop and create personal generative practices for the ‘miraculous everyday’ – and to find out what happens when you do.
The way we are solving problems is the problem.
We live in troubled times, and we need to take our capacities to new levels to meet new challenges with creativity and humanity.
The 5 key practices of the Generative Citizen
- Self–management, emotional and somatic intelligence, COACH / CRASH states
- Self-development at identity level, mission, values, healing family patterns etc
- Empathy, compassion for self and others (includes approaches from the arts)
- Communication skills, including linguistic approaches to perception, meaning and belief change
- Curated citizen’s knowledge base; history, social issues – non-ideological ‘book club’. Read more about the 5th practice here.
Something special about Generative Citizen is how the 5 practices interact with each other. They lead in a natural sequence – once you have integrated the first four practices, curiosity about the field, the world, emerges spontaneously.
A new generation of coaches, activists and community groups are wanting to bring these types of skills and ‘inner development’ approaches to their work.
Standard donation: £307 For people who are paying for themselves.
Professional or Business donation: £449 For people who can charge this as a business expense, or whose businesses are paying.
Low-income minimum donation: £140 For people who are on low income or unemployed.
Developing World Donation: if you are from a developing country, please write to us to discuss fees if the suggested donations above seem too high. These are suggestions – please pay what you feel is right between the lower and the upper figures.

Trainer track: an additional track is available for people who want to teach Generative Citizen Level 1 (or incorporate the material in their existing courses) in their professional areas or native language.
This is currently open to people who are already professional trainers and have a Generative Change or Creative Mind Certification. This involves an extra hour after sessions 2, 4 and 7 as well further team meetings after the Level 1 training.
The world needs generative people more than ever before. Join us to create a generative movement to make the world a better place.
With war in the Ukraine and other places, with the legacy of the pandemic, the economic downturn, nationalist and ‘populist’ tendencies increasing in many countries, population growth, food shortages, extreme weather conditions, an increasing number of refugees; as a society and as a global community, we need to raise our game.
It seems to us that a generative approach, Generative Citizens, is what the world desperately needs. “Let’s be the change we want in the world”.
It can seem hopeless when we think of trying to change the world. What we can do, however, is to take small personal actions that move things in the right direction. If many people did this, who knows what might happen?
We believe that together we are more powerful than each of us, and we want to involve you in creating a global Generative Citizen Community.
Four Key Elements
- The Generative Citizen community
a network where we meet each other, and network with each other, offering each other resources and creating projects together. We will network our core interests at an international level, and around practical actions at a national or local level. - A training: Generative Citizen Level 1
offered by Judith Lowe in English. We hope to have trainers teaching the programme in many different languages, and also face-to-face in your communities. - Other trainings, initiatives, collaborations and projects
that make the world a better place.
Learn about the Generative Citizen programme
Watch our 2 hour Zoom introduction to Generative Citizen Level 1 from 12th October 2022:
How can we be prepared and welcoming of the opportunities, both local and global, to contribute positively towards our collective urgent project of creating peaceful and sustainable ways of living? And how can we do this skilfully, with wisdom and compassion?
How can we develop the deeper everyday practices of being kindly, centred, and creative across many contexts in a way that makes significant positive differences to the bigger world?
‘Everywhere you go, there you are!’ – in Jon Kabat-Zinn’s phrase. How we are feeling and behaving impacts and influences everyone around us. It’s the quality of our inner development that makes the difference in the choices we make in our everyday words and actions.
Our habits and decisions about how we interact in the public space, the shops, at the bus stop, with our neighbours and with strangers really matters. Helping others feel seen, safe, less alone, and more appreciated is a powerful cause set in motion in the alienated and volatile context we currently live in. We can learn how not to be a bystander but how to bring creative engaged energy into every connection and conversation.
We want to make a positive difference in our fractious and unstable world. We already do this professionally and through our material projects and engagements. But we often find ourselves narrowing our focus to bring our skills only into these key areas.
Generative Citizen Level 1
The programme developed from the new field of Generative Change co-created by Robert Dilts and Stephen Gilligan, bringing together the very best of their respective forty years of research and applications in transformational approaches to learning and change. The programme introduces and explores five key ‘City Zen’ practices which each person will bring together in their own way. There is plenty of space for individual needs and preferences. There are no set techniques although there are powerful models to help structure and organise a personally meaningful developmental pathway. The five Generative Citizen practices are:
- Self–management, the self-awareness and self-regulation of emotional intelligence. We can learn to live in COACH state (Centred, Open, Attending with awareness, Connected and Holding) and reduce our CRASH states (Contracted, Reactive, Analysis paralysis, Hurt/Hating).
- Self-development at identity level: knowing who you are, what your values are, what you stand for in the world and what your gift is to the world. Also understanding your own emotional wounds and ancestral traits and biases.
- Empathy, compassion for self and others, including the arts to help us understand and engage with each other.
- Communication skills, including linguistic approaches to joining others in their world, influencing them and reframing your own attitudes and theirs.
- Curated citizen’s knowledge base, understanding the history of all the people of your country and the world, understanding the social issues that confront people different to yourself. Understanding the facts of climate change. Read more about the 5th practice here
The sessions will be for 2 hours each, once a week for seven weeks. There will be an introductory overview session (1), then each week one of the core practices in more detail (2- 6) and, finally, a session to integrate and design your own practices, projects and pathways (7). The way we are solving problems is the problem.
We live in troubled times, and we need to take our capacities to new levels to meet new challenges with creativity and humanity. The responses to the idea of this programme have been very positive and we know a new generation of coaches, activists and community groups are wanting to bring these types of skills and ‘inner development’ approaches to their work.
I love the idea of the Generative Citizen, the global citizen.
If we can bring more awareness, more richness to what this means.
To bring a sense of generating possibilities to our participation as citizens.
Judith Delozier, co-creator of NLP
Judith Lowe is an international trainer in Systemic NLP. Her work includes transformational approaches in Somatic Intelligence, NLP Modelling, Belief Change, Coaching at Identity Level, and a long-term project (‘Passion in Action’ with Judith Delozier) to bring the practical tools of NLP to people working with social change issues in their communities. She is a faculty member at NLPU (Robert Dilts’ NLP institute) and integrates the principles and practices from ‘Generative Change’ into all her trainings.
Judith Lowe is one of the most vibrant and visionary people I know. She is a superb trainer and brings a special energy and passion into everything she does. Her style incorporates a marvellous balance of confidence, compassion and humour complemented by impressive competence and skill.
As importantly, Judith is committed to the deep principles and core values of NLP. She is one of those rare people that truly ‘walks the talk’ of NLP and consistently updates her own skills and provides leading edge developments for her students.
I also deeply admire her selfless devotion to her students and community. It is a pleasure to wholeheartedly endorse Judith and her training
Robert Dilts, co-creator of Generative Change
What Steve Gilligan and Robert Dilts, co-founders of Generative Change, say
We live in challenging times, where the majority of our traditional institutions and structures are falling apart. At such times, we will either dissociate into fascism, mindless “negative othering”, and human isolation; or generate a new type of consciousness, one which equally supports individual transformation and creativity, and communities that value and include each of us.
Judith Lowe has been passionately committed to this integral consciousness for her whole adult life, in many ways. I thus strongly endorse and support her new initiative of “Generative Citizens,” and encourage your participation in it!
Steve Gilligan, Ph.D. Co-developer of Generative Change work
Generative Change was developed to find new solutions in challenging times such as we are living today. One of the primary premises of generative change work is that we are all part of progressively larger systems that are affected by our actions and which, in turn, affect us.
Judith Lowe’s Five Generative Citizen Practices are a powerful expression and application of this premise. Each of us can make a creative and positive difference in the communities of which we are a part and, collectively, we can make a substantially more significant difference. Judith has been a passionate and innovative presence and leader in the NLP and Generative Change communities for many years and has demonstrated her commitment to using these methodologies for creating positive social change time and again. I give my full support to the mission and intention of the Generative Citizen initiative.
