Empower Yourself with Your Creative Mind
Sunday, May 22 11:00 am-12:30 pm London time
Creative Mind is the latest evolution of Milton Erickson’s work, designed for coaches, therapists and in your own personal resourcing practices. Developed by Steve Gilligan Ph.D., it consists of state-of-the art developments from NLP and Erickson’s work.
Steve was at the beginning of NLP and shared a house with Judith Delozier, Leslie Cameron and Frank Pucelik, before specialising in Milton Erickson and becoming a premier teacher of Ericksonian Psychotherapy. His work has gone through various evolutions including Self Relations and the Generative Self, and he recently founded the Generative Change movement and International Association for Generative Change with Robert Dilts.
It has a number of powerful elements, including an emphasis on Generative States, and treating emotional difficulty and resistance to change as resources rather than as obstacles. It includes Gebser’s Integral Theory, and views each of us as subsystems of our communities, the natural world, the biosphere and “the ever- present origin”.
In this session we will explore the model and apply it ourselves and our own empowerment. Julian will lead a guided meditation to boost our resources and we will share what we have learnt in small groups.
Creative Mind is the latest development of Steve Gilligan PhD, one of the original students of NLP, mentored by Gregory Bateson and Milton Erickson, and a leading teacher of Ericksonian Psychotherapy and co-founder of the Generative Change Movement. Julian has worked with Steve since the 1980’s and wrote a Chapter in Steve’s book Walking in Two Worlds: The Relational Self in Theory, Practice, and Community. Developed by Steve Gilligan, leading student of Milton Erickson and co-founder of the Generative Change movement, it is state of the art for mobilising your inner resources.
